My name is Wendy Muchi and I am the Burgess Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) President.
The Burgess PTO works to support both the students’ educational experience and the staff here at Burgess. Through the generosity of our Burgess families, we have been able to provide the school with programs, equipment, and student experiences each year. Some examples of what we have been able to accomplish include hosting cultural arts programs, busing for field trips, supporting the reading programs, and paying for the playground equipment.
To support all these endeavors, the PTO regularly holds multiple fundraisers throughout the year including Square One Art, Scholastic Book Fairs, Jog-A-Thon, Cookie Walk, and a 5K, as well as many other things. Due to Covid-19, our fundraising will be minimal and mostly online but that does not mean we do not want you to miss out on getting to know your Burgess community a little better. Please join us at our monthly meetings where you can volunteer for any of our programs or fundraisers, help decide how we allocate our budget, make new friends, or you can just come to learn about the latest happenings from our Principal, Kathy Pelley.
Meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 7PM. Meetings will be via Zoom until further notice.
