Summer Camps 2021
Tantasqua Families-
We are planning on offering a limited amount of Summer Camps this year to our community, while following all the state and local BOH guidelines for Covid safety procedures and summer camps. Both “All Sports” and “Arts & Crafts” camps will be offered all 6 weeks. (No other camps will be offered this summer but we plan a full return next year for the summer of 2022)
Days: Mondays-Thursdays (except the week of July 6-9 is Tuesday-Friday)
Time: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm daily (No “extended day camp” this year)
Enrollment: For students entering grades 2-8 in the fall of 2021, campers must be enrolled in a Union 61 Elementary School or Tantasqua Junior High School.
Cost: $115/camper/week
Week 1: June 28-July 1
Week 2: July 6-9 (Tuesday-Friday due to the holiday)
Week 3: July 12-15
Week 4: July 19-22
Week 5: July 26-29
Week 6: August 2-5
Many of our Covid safety procedures will be similar to the ones used in our schools:

Counselors and campers must wear masks at all times except in the pool and at lunch

Campers will be seated 6’ apart at lunches

Campers will be grouped into “pods” for the week based on age with the same counselors and campers daily

We will have use of the pool daily with lifeguards within the state guidelines, but campers will remain 6’ apart in the pool

Camp activities will be outside whenever possible with drink, mask and shade breaks built into the schedule.
